This year is flying by! It’s already Easter?! When did that happen? Unlike many families, we don’t really have a set Easter tradition. Sometimes we go to the beach with Charles’ family and sometimes we do church and traditional Easter brunch with mine. Do you have an Easter tradition?
Since it’s officially spring, I’ve been getting the house ready for Peter Cottontail. For our dining room table, I wanted something bright and cheerful, with lots of pink, white, and gold of course. Take a look!
Happy Monday, friends! After working in the yard all weekend, Spring is definitely in the air around here! Flowers are starting to bloom and the days are getting warmer, and this weekend they’ll get longer too.

I’ve got big plans for our basement. Most notably, I want to turn it into a wine cellar. So when Chairish asked me to come up with some plans for a woman cave, I began brainstorming about how I could make this space useful.
The basement is currently accessed from our back porch, but we hope to eventually expand the kitchen so that the basement is accessible from inside the house. While most of our house fits into the traditional style, the basement is one place where we really could go for a more industrial look…which is exactly what I did!
I’ve always loved a good black and white checkered floor. My in-laws have one in their black and white kitchen and I’m so envious! In my opinion, black and white checkered floors are not just a passing trend; they’re here to stay!
Hello! It’s Natalie here from the blog Natalie Catalina. I was so happy when Sarah asked me to guest post on her blog and I knew right away that one of my interior posts was necessary! These are by far my favorite ones to create. I always love dreaming up rooms for future homes I have yet to live in.
