One Room Challenge – Stairs & Hall – Week 4

Happy Thursday, friends! Are you ready for an update on the One Room Challenge?

The stairs and hall makeover is moving along, although I’m just a little behind after Hurricane Matthew. Unfortunately all of the electricians in the area are completely booked after the storm and flooding, and installing a new light socket and switch are not really on their priority list. So who knows if we’ll get to that. But the stairs are looking great!!

One Room Challenge – Stairs & Hall – Week 3

It has been a crazy couple of weeks around here! First, we got hit with Hurricane Matthew, followed by record flooding. Schools were out for almost 2 weeks and many in our community are still without power or a place to call home. Thank to those of you who contacted me and donated…it really means so much!

Last week, Charles and I took a rare vacation and made our way up the Outer Banks. It was a much-needed break…but more on that later.

I know it’s not the official ORC day, but I just wanted to catch you up on our progress to transform the stairs and hallway.

Interview With The Designer: The Design Co.

Y’all. I am so excited about this post. I’ve been a big fan of The Design Co. for a long time…the blend of hard black lines with soft touches of white and pink elements has me drooling! And I know you’ll love it too!

The Design Co. is based in Toronto and is run by designers Ashley Tracey and Laura McLellan. They specialize in designing private residences, from simple paint choices to sophisticated renovations. Their style is young and edgy and oh-so-chic! Today we’re getting to know them a little better in my Interview With The Designer.
