Man it’s been crazy around here! Here’s a look at what’s been going on through the lens of my iPhone.
After sitting in a box for over a year, we finally got our new back porch light fixture hung. Doesn’t it look great?!

Today I’m bringing back an oldie but a goodie. Even though this project happened well over 2 years ago, it’s still one of my most popular posts. So if you’re into home renovations, DIY projects, and vintage tubs, or if you just want to see a fun transformation, check this out.
Restoring an old tub was actually way easier than I thought! When we decided to install a “baby” clawfoot tub in the upstairs guest bathroom, we found an old, very dirty, rusty tub that fit the bill. We discussed several colors, but ultimately decided to keep it simple and go with black. We figured it’s easier to change out shower curtains and bath linens than to repaint a tub!
Closet goals. For real.
I just picked up one of these and it’s adorable. They would make great party favors or would be cute to tie on to a gift.
I need this table or this one to complete our foyer.
Earlier this week, I was shopping for a few garden things when I stumbled upon aisles (yes, multiple aisles…plural!!) of Christmas decor. Too soon, people. Too soon.
I used to be a strictly no-Christmas-before-Thanksgiving lobbyist, but as I get older (and as we settle into our house), I rethink that more and more. I’m not suggesting we start decorating in July, but maybe November isn’t so bad.
Anyway, it got me thinking…we could all use a little Christmas in July, even if it’s just for a few moments.
By now I’m sure that you’ve heard about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. The sale is currently only open to card holders, but everyone can shop beginning this Friday, July 22nd. In the meantime, you can get a preview of what’s available. And I’ve already decided that I need (well, I’m using the term “need” loosely) a few things.
