House Dreams: A Dog Washing Station

Am I the only one that thinks a doggy shower would be like the coolest thing ever? Growing up, we always had dogs around, and they were always treated like a part of the family. In March, we rescued Sullivan and he is definitely no different.

Because Sully lays with us on the couch and sleeps in the bed (I know, we’re awful doggy parents and he’s spoiled rotten), he gets a lot of baths. A shower tailored specifically to him is just what we need to make his life, and ours, a little easier.

Our laundry room and mud room don’t have the space, but a girl (and her pup) can dream, right?

  1. I installed a ‘dog’ shower in our laundry room very similar to the last photo. Best project I ever ever did! Also works as child covered in muck from the garden shower, hosing off BBQ racks and cleaning oven racks. My previous neighbor used to bring her dog around to use it as she loved to roll in fox poop

  2. A doggy shower sounds like an incredible idea, especially for a beloved family pet like Sullivan! It’s not just about convenience; it’s also about creating a comfortable space for him to get clean without the stress or mess that can come with traditional bath methods.
