One Room Challenge – Week 5

5 weeks down, 1 to go! Eeek!

ORC-LP-250x183

If you’re just joining us, I’m part of a 6-week challenge to make over a space. I chose our two-story back porch, which have come a long way since we started almost 2 years ago!

The downstairs porch is almost ready to go. I just need to hang a shelf, add a small rug, and do some styling.

The upstairs porch is getting there too. I decided to go with this rug from Rugs USA and I love it! I’ve bought rugs from there before and am always pleased with the value. The site is constantly running sales and shipping is free…can’t beat that!

Right now a lot is just kind of thrown out there. Hopefully over the weekend I’ll have time to get it all in order. I’m hoping to get the doors painted red, but honestly it just might have to wait. Curtains, lighting, hanging plants, and another seating option are taking priority.

Oh how I wanted this retro glider! They were actually bringing it in to the shop when I got there, and I melted just a little. The price was totally reasonable, but more than I’m willing to spend right now. Oh well, there will be others, right?!

I ordered this fixture for the downstairs porch. It arrived last night, and we’ll hopefully be hanging it tonight.
