To say that I have some very talented family and friends would be an understatement. It seems that all of my friends have a knack for something…painting, drawing, designing, decorating, cooking, baking. So what do you do when you’re a blogger and you have such brilliant friends? You blog about it, of course!
My friend, Emily, bought her adorable house just across the park from us back in 2015 that she now shares with her husband, Alex, and their new baby boy, William. The house had great bones and potential, but Emily has added her charming touch throughout the house to make it a real gem. Take a look at the impressive transformation!
Front Exterior – Before & After
Y’all know I love a good black and white house. With clean landscaping and a bright green door, this home now has great curb appeal. And when those gorgeous hydrangeas bloom, it pops even more!
Living Room – Before & After
As you can see, Emily has great taste and has decorated this living room to be inviting and colorful. The traditional furniture mixed with the more modern elements like the garden stool side tables and elephant print make this style a winning combination.
Dining Room – Before & After
I feel that Emily and I definitely share a similar decorating taste, in that we both lean more towards a traditional feel. This dining room is so beautiful, and just wait until you see her stunning tablescapes!
Kitchen – Before & After
This room was a major transformation. From outdated yellow with hearts to classic black and white with fun touches like gold hardware, banquet seating, and palm print curtains. And I’m obsessed with this checkered floor!
Nursery – Before & After
William’s nursery is so sweet with lots of personal touches. Fun fact: our families spend Christmas night together each year (Emily’s parents and my in-laws are neighbors)…last year there was only one kid, a boy, and this year there will be four! Emily, her sister Carmen, and myself will all be celebrating with our baby boys in tow this year. How fun!
Back Exterior – Before & After
I feel like the back of houses never get a lot of attention, but this is a huge improvement!
So, I mentioned tablescapes. Emily is one to do a different tablescape for every season, holiday, and occasion. I don’t know where she gets the energy (I’m lucky to get four different ‘scapes a year), but they always look absolutely fabulous. Take a look at some of my favorites!
Thank you, Emily, for letting me share your lovely home!
