Christmas in July

Earlier this week, I was shopping for a few garden things when I stumbled upon aisles (yes, multiple aisles…plural!!) of Christmas decor. Too soon, people. Too soon.

I used to be a strictly no-Christmas-before-Thanksgiving lobbyist, but as I get older (and as we settle into our house), I rethink that more and more. I’m not suggesting we start decorating in July, but maybe November isn’t so bad.

Anyway, it got me thinking…we could all use a little Christmas in July, even if it’s just for a few moments.

Decorate-with-Antiques

Here’s a quick round up of my all-time favorite holiday scenes. Enjoy, because you won’t be seeing any Christmas around here for a few more months!

And of course, our little Christmas angel, Sullivan.

When do you decorate for Christmas? Will you hold out until after Thanksgiving this year?

  1. A taste of Christmas in July – how fun. Our decorating protocol is Thanksgiving Weekend. Our elf faithfully arrives from the North Pole on Thanksgiving Day – she kicks off the season. I know, silly, but do something twice and you have a steadfast Family Tradition(!) Glad I found your blog. Stay Cool!

    1. What a great tradition! Ours is similar. We get up very early on Black Friday to go pick out our tree and then spend the whole weekend decorating!
