Friendly Features Vol. 3 – Bethany’s House

To say that I have some very talented family and friends would be an understatement. It seems that all of my friends have a knack for something…painting, drawing, designing, decorating, cooking, baking. So what do you do when you’re a blogger and you have such brilliant friends? You blog about it, of course!

Today I’m sharing my friend Bethany’s gorgeous traditional home. This Federalist style house was built in 1953. Bethany and her husband bought it in 2013 and gave it a huge overhaul…they renovated the kitchen, all the bathrooms, the master suite, the butlers pantry, the study, the mudroom…you get the idea. They also updated all of the plumbing, electrical, and millwork throughout the house. Outside they updated their screened porch, patio, and landscaping, and added a detached garage.

Bethany’s style is so on point with my own. (I even have the same art above the tub in our master bathroom!) You walk in and your jaw just kind of hits the floor. I could go on, but honestly these photos speak for themselves!

All photography was done by Kyle Aiton. As you can see, Kyle is insanely talented! He photographs anything from interiors and real estate to wildlife to portraits to landscapes. Be sure to check out his site here, and you can also follow him on Instagram.

You can also see the other Friendly Features here and here. And if you enjoyed this tour, check out the Paul Borden House that’s currently for sale. The 1920 craftsman bungalow is a blank slate inside and just waiting for someone to come and complete the job!
