Interior Design Trend: Canopy Beds

Don’t you just love how design trends reappear? I remember a few friends of mine growing up had canopy beds, and they always felt dreamy and even royal in some small way. Then when I would see canopy beds just a few years later, they just felt cheesy and immature. Well, they’ve come back in a big way and I have to admit, I’m smitten.

  1. I used to have a canopy bed but it was just a double bed. After 44 years of marriage we graduated to a Queen sized bed. I bought a Bombay Furniture bed at a second hand shop and I love it. It is huge and makes quite a statement. It was a canopy bed but there was no frame. I’m hoping when I have time I can figure out what I can do to make a frame. I loved my canopy bed and would love to have another one.

  2. I’ve always wanted to get a canopy bed but it still hasn’t happened for one reason of another. LOL I’m getting a new mattress this year and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that my budget will allow me to get the bed of my dreams too!
