This year I just went really simple with my fall decorating. For some reason I just wasn’t into it. But I am pumped for Christmas! I think I’m going to break my cardinal “No Christmas Before Thanksgiving” rule and start decorating early.
Anyway, back to fall. Here’s a look at the dining room and den, which is all that I really decorated besides the exterior. I’m loving our new buffet, and we finally got that vintage mirror hung. Next up, sconces!
Here’s a look at the den. Most of the pumpkins and leaves are from Michael’s, and I picked up the adorable scarecrows for just $2 each at Rite Aid.
Since we moved in, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect mirror or piece of art to go above the mantel in the den. Everything I’ve tried has been too small, since we have 6 feet of wall space above the mantel. And because there’s a chimney behind the plaster walls, we have to be careful what we hang.
I ordered this mirror and it just came in and I love it! Finally! I can’t wait to hang it! More photos to follow.
And because I never got around to sharing it, here’s a peek at what Halloween looked like at our house!
How did you decorate for fall? Will you be decorating for Christmas early?
