Update: 30 Before 30

One week from today, I turn 28. Last year, at 27, I put together a 30 Before 30 List…a list of 30 things I wanted to accomplish before turning 30. If you haven’t noticed, lists are kind of my thing.

Today I thought I’d take a moment to update you on the list. Some things I have accomplished, some are in progress, and some haven’t even been touched. But I’ve got 2 years and 1 week left before 30, and I intend to make the most of it!

  1. Attend a blogger conference
Did this in June…read about it herehere, and here!
  2. Attend more events at our local theater
  3. Be free of all credit card debt
  4. Become a better photographer
I’ve made some progress, but still have far to go.
  5. Build a wine cellar in the basement
  6. Buy a new car
  7. Convert the garage into a useful space
  8. Create a 365 book: a photo from each day for a year
  9. Cut down our Christmas tree in the mountains
  10. Eat more vegetables
Slowly but surely. I have a new found love for brussel sprouts…and that’s about it.
  11. Finish the laundry room with cabinets and shelves
I’d say we’ve taken the first step in the process.
  12. Get into a consistent workout routine
Thanks to my new schedule, I have a lot more gym time. Plus I took the 100 mile challenge!
  13. Get our house as organized as possible
I’ve done a lot (like our closet, my makeup drawer, and our cleaning supplies), but still have a few more things I’d like to tackle.
  14. Go to a pro football game
  15. Have a kid
I feel further from ready this year than I did last year!
  16. Have more date nights with my husband
  17. Help organize a large scale charity event
The Herring Hulse Designer Showcase Home
  18. Learn to arrange flowers
  19. Learn to make curtains for our house
  20. Learn to mow the grass
  21. Learn to shoot a handgun
  22. Lose that certain amount of weight
  23. Make a cleaning schedule and stick to it
  24. Refinish a big piece of furniture
  25. Spend more time at the beach house
  26. Start a monthly dinner club with friends
  27. Start a new business
           Done!
  28. Take a photography or art class at the community college
  29. Take a road trip to nowhere in particular
  30. Tour a winery

So yeah, there’s still plenty to accomplish! Slow and steady wins the race, right?

What’s on your to-do list? (You can check out my bucket list here!)
