This is our second fall in our house on Park Avenue, and our curb appeal is looking a little closer to complete. This year, we did more than just add pumpkins and mums. The changes are subtle, but I think they have a great impact!
I apologize for the photo overload…but it’s been a while since I’ve shared some updated pictures. Have a look!
So here’s a look at the house last fall:
Since last fall, we’ve made a few changes. First, we painted the brick foundation that had been repointed. We also had our driveway reshaped and new gravel put in, then Charles lined our driveway with some extra brick we had lying around.
Next, we ripped out the dead shrubs out front and planted some new bushes. I can’t wait for them to grow up and fill out the front of our house! And a few weeks ago, Charles seeded the entire front yard, so our grass is starting to look green and not brown.
We also hung the porch swing that my dad made us for Christmas. Isn’t it beautiful?!
We’ve still got a lot of plans for the front of the house, including busting up the concrete walkway and laying a brick walkway, and more landscaping, but I’m happy with the progress so far!
Here’s a quick look of last year vs. this year.
What are you doing to get your home looking good for fall?
Looks Fantastic!
I remain in awe of both of you for your energy, spirit and devotion to this project that is your lovely home. I’m so glad you shared it with us and too many pictures is an oxymoron. Great post.
