To say that I have some very talented friends would be an understatement. It seems that all of my friends has a knack for something…painting, drawing, designing, decorating, cooking, baking. So what do you do when you’re a blogger and you have such brilliant friends? You blog about it, of course!
Today I’m kicking off my new series, Friendly Features, with my dear friend Lauren. Lauren, her husband Mark, and their sweet little girl Eleanor used to live just around the corner from us, but recently moved a few miles down the road into a larger home with a beautiful wooded backdrop.
Lauren hosted a baby shower for a friend of ours a few weeks ago, so I took the opportunity to snap a few photos of her gorgeous home. Mark and Lauren have done so much work to their new house and it looks incredible. I think the pictures speak for themselves. Let’s take a look!
Here’s the kitchen before:
And here’s the kitchen now:
I sure do love a white on white kitchen. So stunning! Can you believe that all of the cabinets are from Ikea? Lauren put all of them together herself. And I love the use of both nickel and brass…so chic and timeless!
Here’s the dining room before:
And here it is now:
New color, new floor, new light fixture, new counters. It’s all so on point!
Lastly, here’s the two-story living room before:
And here it is now:
The painted fireplace really sets this room off, and of course the room is perfectly styled.
Thank you, Lauren, for letting me share your beautiful home! It truly is amazing!
Wow ! What a BEAUT!!!
I love this. What great fun it must have been to walk into this and see what great bones the place had and be able to envision how they could make it what it is today. They were just so creative. Thanks for sharing – I look forward to more in the series.
