Twin Beds: Not Just For Kids

Lately I’ve been strangely drawn to rooms with twin beds. They used to give me I Love Lucy flashbacks, but now I can kind of see the merit in them. I wouldn’t want to sleep alone in a twin bed every night, but every now and then, it might be nice to get a little uninterrupted sleep.

I would never put twin beds in a master bedroom, but I think they could really be useful in a guest room. For one, it increases the number that can occupy a guest room if you don’t have only couples staying.

But most rooms I’ve seen with twin beds are geared towards children, and don’t look very sophisticated. So I went on a hunt for luxe guest bedrooms that make twin beds look super chic. Here’s what I found.

Luxurious fabrics, elegant bedding, sleek furniture, and more mature color schemes help to make rooms with twin beds feel like a retreat for adults instead of a kids room that guests are forced to sleep in when they visit.

What do you think? Would you have twin beds in your guest room? How would you make them feel more sophisticated?
