As many of you know by now, today is my last day at my current job. I’m taking a leap into self-employment and am super excited!
For now, I’ll be working from home full time. I’m happier than I can say that I will be able to have the flexibility and comforts of working from home, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a tad apprehensive about staying motivated and on task all day every day.
I have dreams of one day (waaaay down the road) owning a work space where I could have an office in the back and a vintage collectibles shop in the front. A place to escape to when I need a little more inspiration, or just a place outside our home to call my own.
While the style I strive for at home is very traditional, classic, and sophisticated, I think I would enjoy a departure from that in my own shop. When I was introduced to GoHaus, I immediately began to think about a casual, rustic atmosphere for an office and retail space. It would be a fun way to change up the areas where I spend most of my time.
GoHaus has not only beautiful flooring, but cheap flooring! How amazing would this flooring look? Or this one? And at only $2.99 and $1.19 per square foot, it’s totally reasonable.
GoHaus offers lots of home flooring options. I also find it very helpful that you can see their flooring in everyday, un-staged homes and businesses in the gallery on the site.
So for now, I’ll stick with my home office…but a girl can dream, right?!
What’s your favorite flooring? Polished or rustic? What kind of floor would you have in your dream office?

I loved the diagonal installation of the Loft Style Gallery and the old distressed look of the Rustic Lake House flooring. Nice post – I’m glad I clicked on the “gallery”.
