It’s almost here! This weekend I’m heading to Charleston, SC to meet up with some pretty fabulous people for the Southern Blog Society Conference. Charleston has been one of my favorite cities for a very long time. I used to go with my family growing up, and even “almost” went to school at CofC not once but twice!
My favorite thing about Charleston is easily the historic homes and architecture. Yes, there are so many good places to eat and drink (I plan to hit a lot of them!), but you just can’t beat the Southern Living-esque view you get just walking down the cobbled streets. Today I wanted to share just a few of my favorite scenes from The Holy City.
You may recognize a couple of those from my porch inspiration. I was definitely going for a Charleston feel with our two-story porch.
I can’t wait to come back and share with you all the sights, smells, sips, and sounds that are sure to abound on this trip! :)
Did you just write “Southern Living-esque”? I love it, because earlier today, I remarked that a certain porch looked like it had Southern Living magazine all over it (or something like that!) Great minds! I just found your blog + am interested to see more of your project, for I, too, am blogging about our own house re-do! HAGD!
