Hi folks! I hope y’all had a fabulous and fun Memorial Day weekend! Ours was pretty relaxing, which was really nice. We decided to have a “staycation” instead of going to the beach and it was definitely the right choice!
I’ll be back tomorrow with our regularly scheduled programming, so for now, I’ll just share a few of my favorite photos from the weekend.
Friday night, after recovering from a migraine, I unpacked the Urban Outfitters rug I had ordered for the formal living room. It’s probably not a forever rug in this room, but for only $90 (8×10) and free 2-day shipping, it definitely fits the bill for right now.
Saturday was the best day ever because we finally got our sweet Elby back! My brother and I got “Ladybug” when we lived together about 3 years ago. We hated the name Ladybug, so we started calling her LB, and eventually that morphed into Elby. She is the sweetest and most well-mannered dog and I’m thrilled to have her back living with us. I’m so so grateful to my parents, the best puppy grandparents ever, for taking her in while we renovated the house.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I’ve already become one of those annoying people that constantly posts pictures of their dog. #sorrynotsorry.
On Sunday, we took our first stroll through the park down the street and she absolutely loved it. I’m excited to come home and walk with Elby each day after work…I’m going to whip us both into shape! ;)
Also this weekend, with the help of my parents, we hung sheers in the foyer to add a little privacy, and blinds in our master bedroom. Finally I don’t have to get dressed in dark corners! #itsthelittlethings
We also got started on lining our driveway and flower beds with leftover bricks from the project. We switched out the really bad coffee table and side tables in the formal living room for a nicer set, and did a little fabric shopping for various projects around the house.
And then we relaxed.
What did you do this weekend?
How nice to have your fur friend back!! Bet it makes your place feel even more like home now! :)
Yes, it does!! :)
How sweet! I hope Elby is loving her new house :)
She is! She has already completely settled in! :)
Popping over from #AllAboutYou which I am guest hosting this week and I am also a kind of person that posts loads of pictures of her dog! Mine is a westie called Lucy. Thanks for linking up! xxx
