With all this weather we’ve been having here in eastern NC and the official move into our house a couple weeks ago, my internet access at home has been somewhat limited. Today, I wanted to share one of my absolute favorite interiors. To be honest, English Country (and French Country and Country Country for that matter) isn’t really my style. But there’s something about the way this designer marries a bit of English with a bit of Country with a whole lot of elegance!
Gorgeous, right?! That foyer….I want it! I love the use of vibrant colors that don’t overwhelm. It’s just the perfect balance.
For those of you wondering…No, I don’t speak Spanish. I found this house in a post by one of my very favorite blogs, House of Turquoise. If you don’t follow Erin’s blog, you really should. The interiors and exteriors that she features are nothing but stunning!!

I’m trying to decide if I love the rug holder thingies on the stairs. They’re beautiful and interesting, and yet, I worry we might trip. I’m trying to decide what we’re going to do with ours (hate the runner that is on them now – stock straight from Lowe’s or something) and this is interesting. I feel like kiss of the English decor sense just makes everything so…lovely. Polished. Put together.

I totally agree, Shannon! Polished is the perfect word. I feel ya on the bars on the runner…they look gorgeous, but maybe not so practical. I can’t wait to get a runner down on our stairs. Hopefully soon! :)
