Hello all.  I’m so excited that I’ve been asked to be a guest here at 702 Park Project! I just love following Sarah and her mad skills as she restores her amazing home.  As we’re gearing up for warm weather I thought it would be a good time to share some porch decor inspiration.  Porches can be a great extension of the home.  They’re a place to welcome neighbors to join you for conversation, pass the hours with a good book or relax in the cool breeze on a hot summer’s day.  Here are a few of my all-time personal favorites that have savvy style and great function.
Classic Southern Style
West Cost Casual
Traditional Refined
Coastal
Natural
Painting the porch in a high gloss red creates great contrast with the earth cedar shingles and black and white furniture.
Gil Schafer porch painted in Benjamin Moore’s Narragansett Green for the floor and Stonington Gray for the ceiling.
Simple & Fresh
Coastal White Wash
Here’s a simple All American design I’ve put together:

With so many wonderful products available you can give your outdoor space the full treatment.  Outdoor fabrics are now available in every color and pattern you can dream of so don’t shy from making your porch as cozy as you like.  Just be sure to clean and store them in the late fall and winter season.  Outdoor furniture is now being made in every style and price point.  With materials like polywood you can lower maintenance and increase the lifespan of your outdoor furniture.   Who doesn’t love that?!  With all the options available today you should have no problem creating a space for you and your family to enjoy for years to come.
