The Sunday Currently, #20

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone remembered to set their clocks forward.  I’m so thankful to have longer days!

Currently:

Reading– About these DIY plywood floors! They look incredible! I’d love to do something like this in our attic one day.

Little Green Notebook

Listening– To the same old same old. My commute to work is almost an hour (driving), so I usually listen to Pandora radio.  But lately I’ve been wanting something a little more interesting.  Possibly a podcast or a certain talk radio station.  I don’t have the attention span for books on tape, so forget about that.  Any recommendations?

Thinking– I need to order some prints for the house.  Nations Photo Lab is having a 50% off sale through Tuesday on prints 16×20 and larger!

Hoping– This spring weather sticks around! If you’ve been following for a while, you know that I LOVE cold weather, but I’ve about had it this year! I’m ready for warmer weather and longer days!

Loving– This gorgeous antique brass kitchen island! It would fit perfectly in the space where the fridge used to go that we have no idea what to do with.  Now who wants to buy it for me? ;)

WS Island

Wanting– To go shopping! I’ve been fighting it by window shopping some Spring favorites:

Needing– Your opinion.  What are your thoughts on Hunters Alley? I have several items listed there, but don’t particularly love the steep fee, and have had some issues with their customer service being incredibly rude.  Thinking of maybe switching to Etsy.  What are your thoughts? What selling avenue do you prefer?

Feeling– Sore! This was our first week back in the gym since Christmas for Charles and since my surgery for me. I’ve definitely been sore, but also energized at the same time. I forgot how good it feels to release those endorphins!

Clicking– These epic fails that are just….epic.  (Side note: I was trying to pull the cap off the new laundry detergent this week and it sprung up and hit me right in the eye before bouncing off several corners and falling behind the washer. If it had been filmed, it would have made the cut.  Just ask Charles.)

And I’ve got just one more for you that I couldn’t pass up sharing…check out these unbelievable historical photos!

Have a happy week! :)

  1. Great post today. Love the plywood plank floors and the kitchen island (I had something very similar when I lived in Key West). The epic fails are priceless. Unfortunately, the Tory Burch Sandals and the Kate Spade handbag are not and have turned on my inner sniveling malcontent.

  2. What a light, bright and airy room. The navy and white bird print dress would be a very useful addition to my spring wardrobe. I hope the sunny days continue! A great post to start the week.

  3. I listen to NPR in the car and LOVE it. There are so many interesting segments and I stay caught up on current events without really trying. It’s not all news–lots of book and movie reviews and interesting interviews and such mixed in. Seriously, look up your local station and give it a listen.

Also, I don’t know anything about Hunter’s Alley but I’ve been selling on Etsy since 2011 and am really happy with it. I think Etsy probably has a wider reach than Hunter’s Alley.
