Is there anything tackier than power lines?  Sure, I understand their use, but nothing looks worse than a beautifully restored house with ugly cables attached to it.  Ok, maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the point.

Last week, we had a trench dug alongside our house and the power lines were laid underground.  It sounds like a minor change, but aesthetically, it makes a huge difference!  Here’s a look at the before:

Unfortunately we had a ton of rain right after the trenching, so the side yard is pretty much all mud right now.  But that’s an easy fix!  I think we can count this as just one more successful check mark off the list!
