Two things…
1. I love estate sales! Especially on Sundays. Usually, everything left from Saturday is marked down significantly on Sunday, so you can really get some steals. Mary and I went to a sale in the middle of nowhere yesterday and left with some great stuff, both for ourselves and for The Remedy House.
2. I’ve been wanting a pink couch for some time now. I know it’s super girly, but I’ve always wanted a pink couch to go in the formal living room. My vision for this room is very ethereal and feminine. (See my Pinterest board for more of what I’m thinking.)
So imagine my excitement when I found this gem at the estate sale yesterday…
It is in great condition, needs no work, and is pink velvet. Does it get any better?? And, at a whopping $150 (it was originally $300 but everything was 1/2 off yesterday), it was just too good to pass up!!
Here are a few ideas that I pinned a while back. I’m thinking some white and soft gray throw pillows, elegant and flowy window treatments, and of course, plenty of gold mixed in! (Note: the color is a little funny in the pictures above. The actual color is very very close to the first couch below.)
What do you think? Are you a fan? Is there any piece that you would just “have to have” if you saw it for a good price?
Awesome! Your grandma had a very similar pink couch in the National Avenue house. CONGRATULATIONS on a good find.
Sarah, your grandmother would love this! That is a “Charlotte” couch if I ever saw one!!
My thoughts exactly! I think the couch would make her proud! :)
You are really channeling your Grandma! She would be so proud.
Just wait till Christmas! She’ll really come out in me then! :)
Oh my, I was on the fence with your purchase, until I read your ideas & saw your inspiration pics, very pretty! I’m sure its going to look fantastic and dreamy
