One of my favorite parts about the house is all the fireplaces. Eight to be exact! And they are all coal-burning, except the one in the dining room, which has gas logs. Some are in great shape, and some need a little work. Here’s a look at a few of them…

There is a fireplace in each of the four bedrooms, the formal living room, the family den, the dining room, and the foyer. And they are ALL different! Lots and lots of decorating options! Here are some examples of how I would like to decorate a few.

And I can’t wait to decorate eight mantles for Christmas! I know it’s only February and we have quite a while until Christmas, but when you have EIGHT fireplaces, you have to get started early! I know that I definitely want to hang stockings in the den. And I would like to do something formal and elegant in the living room. But other than that, I’m up in the air. It will be fun to get started, and watch how my collection accumulates over the years. Take a look at these holiday mantles that I love!
